The Prearmor install with existing alarm can be used to protect your gas tank, catalytic converter, exhaust, wheels, nerf bars, or any object where removal involves movement under body of vehicle.
Mounting Overview
Unpack and get familiar with contents.
You will need access to the installed alarm to make the proper connections as well as a general set of instructions for the existing alarm.  Ask the customer what are you trying to protect with this sensor. (locating the sensor closer to the object for protection will allow you to dial in the adjustments).  Examine the area surrounding the object for protection.  Keep it as far away from metal to the right and left directly beside and on the same level as the sensor.  You will be mounting the sensor with the label facing down toward ground and the mounting tabs front to rear of the vehicle  Do not place to close to the exhaust system or any moving objects.  Use a test mount method to find the optimun sport for mounting.
Step 1 Begin by...
Selecting a temporary spot and secure sensor by means of a bungee strap, tape, etc. Route cable inside the vehicles interior where the alarm is placed.  Locate these wires on the installed alarm.  (-) door trigger, (-) hood pin
Temporary hook the BLUE WIRE from sensor to the (-) HOOD PIN wire of alarm (use a means to protect both these connections)
Temporary hook the GREEN WIRE from sensor to the (-) DOOR TRIGGER wire of alarm
Ground the BLACK WIRE to a good chassis grounding point.
Temporary install supplied fuse holder on Prearmors RED WIRE and connect to (12) volt constant power

Examine for any wires touching and arm the Alarm
Do nothing around the vehicle for 5 seconds. (sensor has a 5 sec delay in activating)
Move all around the vehicle to see if the sensor is activated.  If not move closer to specific area and listen for alarm trigger.  If no sound see SOLVING INSTALL PROBLEMS below
Step 2 Tune sensor...
If the desired effect was achieved from step 1 now is the time to adjust your sensor.  By using the temporary mount method, you can easy access the trim pods located on the face of Prearmor.  They are marked Zone 1 and Zone 2.  Zone 1 will be used mainly for this application.  Prearmor was shipped with the sensitivity set to MAX.  This creates a good base line for adjustment.  Before you start turning the trimming screws move the sensor up higher in the under carriage. Example to bottom of floor pan.  This will adjust down the sensitivity a lot.Moving the sensor around will be the fastest and easiest way to tune the sensor.  If this does not work for you, start by turning counter clock wise the Zone 1 pod.  Make small adjustments.  This pod is very sensitive.  Adjust and re-test the alarm.  Continue this procedure till the desired setting is reached.  Adjusting Zone 2 will have a much less effect on tuning your sensor. The desired field of protection will vary for every application.  Once you have achieved your specific sensitivity, finish sensor mounting by below instruction.
Step 3  Final mount sensor...
Use the supplier SS screws, or the supplied heavy duty wire ties.  His is your call for mounting.  Use caution to prevent damage to any wiring or lines, or hose by drilling and mounting the sensor with the screws.  Make sure your mount is solid and will not fall off or extend below the frame on the vehicle.  Use the CLEAR TAPE section and place over the rubber gromments.  This will keep any water out of the holding case.  The unit now is waterproof.  Mount and use the wire ties to secure the wiring cables to the interior of vehicle.  (Make sure these wires as well are away from excessive heat and movement).
Step 4 Hook up inside vehicle...
By using the temporary method of installing your sensor you already know the correct wire to connect to the installed alarm.  Unhook these wire and prepare to mount the SPST mini toggle.  Select a good location and mount the switch. Place the fuse holder close to the tap for (12) volt constant power.  Hook the other end of the fuse holder to the red wire of the toggle switch.  Hook the black wire from the toggle switch to the red wire on the cable from the sensor.   (The fuse will prevent wire damage at the source all the way to the sensor in case of a short or damage).  Re hook the BLUE and GREEN wires to the previous wire you connected in testing.  Secure with wire ties and test again the alarm.  If testing proves success you are done.  If problems show see the SOLVING INSTALL PROBLEMS below.
Step 5 Explain...
Before turning the keys over to the customer test the unit several time to get a feel of the installed sensor. (remember: some alarm system will disable a zone when unit is trigger more than 3 times for same activation).  Turning the ignition on and off will recycle the alarm for additional testing.
Walk around the vehicle with the alarm activated.  Move your yourself under the vehicle at several locations from the front and rear and sides of the vehicle.  Test the specific area for protection at least twice before explaining to the customer how it works.  Show the customer the location of the toggle switch so they can turn off the sensor when needed.

Congratulations:
